Energy
Lower energy costs.
Power when you need it.
Endurous is designed to coordinate grid rates, solar, battery storage and flexible electricity use to reduce energy costs. An optional generator can add another source of backup power.

HOW IT COULD HELP
Your car can wait. Dinner cannot.
As dinner cooks and the household settles in, stored battery energy can power cooking, lights and other evening loads. Stored heat helps keep rooms comfortable and hot water ready.
Once rates fall, Endurous plans battery recharging and vehicle charging around your morning needs, spreading demand and preserving the backup reserve you choose.
Dinner and comfort stay on your schedule, with less electricity bought at peak rates and charging planned for tomorrow. The everyday coordination happens in the background.
An example of the intended experience. Results depend on compatible equipment and your home.
THE SIMPLE VERSION
What goes into the plan.
- 01
Know the timing
Consider your rate plan and when the car needs to be ready.
- 02
Shift flexible use
Move charging or water heating when your equipment allows.
- 03
Keep a reserve
Hold back energy for the essentials you choose.
NO NEED TO DO EVERYTHING
A practical place to start.
Review a recent electricity bill and the equipment you already own. A battery or solar installation is not required for every first step.
A little more detail.
Do I need solar to get started?
No. A review can start with how you use electricity and which existing devices can be coordinated. Solar and batteries are options to assess, not automatic requirements.
What equipment could be included?
Solar and inverters; batteries; supported electrical controls; EV charging; optional onsite generation such as a generator, micro combined heat and power (mCHP), or solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC).
What needs to be checked for my home?
- Electrical capacity, circuit coverage, and permitted control actions.
- Battery power as well as usable energy, plus inverter and backup compatibility.
- Onsite generation suitability, fuel supply, installation needs, service support, and any useful heat recovery.
What should I know about the limits?
Solar alone typically does not supply a home during a grid outage. Backup operation requires compatible equipment and controls. Bidirectional EV charging depends on the vehicle, charger, and installation.
OTHER ENERGY OPTIONS
Could home generation play a part?
Some properties may benefit from a generator or other onsite generation. These are options to assess, not requirements for Endurous.
Generator, combined heat and power, or fuel cell?
A generator provides electricity from fuel. A micro combined heat and power unit (mCHP) can produce electricity and useful heat. A solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is another way of producing electricity from fuel, sometimes with useful heat recovery.
Suitability depends on fuel availability, installation, maintenance, emissions, cost and whether the home can use the heat. A qualified property review is needed.
Will solar keep my home running in an outage?
Solar alone usually does not provide power during a grid outage. Backup operation needs a suitable system, including compatible controls and equipment. A vehicle can supply backup power only when the vehicle, charger and installation support it.
