BACKUP & READINESS

Power for the devices
you rely on.

An outage changes more than the lights. Endurous is being designed to keep the equipment you value in the household energy plan, including selected security devices, their network connections and useful lighting.

Start with what should keep working.

Choose the functions that matter to you, then identify all the equipment behind them. Existing devices can be part of the conversation.

Alarms & access

Include the alarm hub, powered entry controls and other selected devices. Review their built-in batteries, power supplies and behavior during a power interruption with your installer.

Cameras & recording

Consider the cameras you want to keep on, together with their recorder and any switch that supplies power. Prioritize useful coverage and account for continuous recording loads.

Connections & lighting

Include the modem or fiber terminal, router and any necessary network equipment. Add selected entry or pathway lights when they are part of your backup priorities.

Plan the whole connection.

A powered camera is only one part of the picture. Local recording may also need a recorder and network switch. Remote viewing or notifications may depend on a working internet or cellular connection. Include those dependencies in the plan.

  1. Stored energy or backup generation
  2. Selected circuits or a device UPS
  3. Security devices and local network
  4. Recording and available communications

A UPS is a local battery backup. Keeping home equipment powered does not by itself keep the outside communications network available.

Your priorities guide the reserve.

Endurous aims to coordinate these smaller, steady loads with refrigeration, comfort and other household needs. Your choices shape what stays powered, how much energy is held in reserve and which flexible tasks can wait.

  • Choose the devices and functions to keep available.
  • Set an outage target and account for other essential loads.
  • Let flexible tasks, such as vehicle charging, wait when reserve energy is needed.

Think in hours, watts and energy.

Backup time depends on the combined load, usable stored energy and any generation available during the outage. Battery charge, conversion losses and other household uses also matter. Compare a few designs, then check actual equipment ratings and operating needs with your installer.

Compare outage readiness ↗

Turn priorities into a practical setup.

  • List the devices, their power supplies and any network or recording equipment they need.
  • Check continuous and startup power, built-in battery life and the circuits selected for backup.
  • Agree how access, recording and notifications should behave if power or internet service is interrupted.
  • Plan periodic checks of batteries, communications and recovery when normal power returns.

Endurous focuses on energy coordination and equipment context. Your security installer and monitoring provider continue to handle security configuration, alarm response and service. Their requirements belong in the home plan from the start.

Connectivity ↗

Bring your essentials into the home plan.

Use the Home Planner to note the equipment and priorities you already have. Then explore backup options alongside electricity, heating, water and connectivity. Property-specific design and pilot availability will follow as the platform develops.
